Hot japanese drink abandoned by bob for fish. The answer is hake but why? Bob could be shake but i dont understand, can some kind soul enlighten me please?

Thank you nical and cashier, that is truly torturous, so we are saying bob is S for shilling and we need to remove that from shake very complex and really odd hardly a saturday puzzle standard thanks again to you both
