good luck with the GCSE
modern phys does electron flow ( which is kinda opposite to cureent flow but never mind ) and the negatively charged electrons flow from the cathode to the anode.

Now now PP. You were not supposed to mention electron flow. :)) I remember the consternation when after religiously getting our heads around valve and CRT theory, and the control grids on the devices, the groan in the room when we were told you must bury that now or you will not get the tunneling effect and atomic migration sorted in your heads for the new(then) solid state transistors.
