Petulant doesn't even begin to cover it....!

He needs to issue a fullsome and unreserved apology PDQ.
That's hateful.
Apart from the really asinine comments made by Musk, I'm trying to imagine what kind of mini-sub carrying people would be able to navigate through those very narrow spaces. Was one ever built and are there photos of it?
^ As said. The passageway was way too small for any mini sub. They even had to push their air tanks in front of them as they could not get through with them on their backs. Musk is just after publicity, what a nut job!

"The mini sub would have worked.. In the exact same way they put the kids on stretchers... The sub was TINY and built to size."

You obviously have a far greater insight into these matters than the experts who were on the scene and who dismissed the idea out of hand.
I would imagine that the kids were put on stretchers after they were rescued, not prior to or during. (post at 1629)

I don't think so....

The boys were fitted with full-face breathing masks. For the underwater sections, they were strapped to a rescue diver, with another diver following behind. The divers were guided through the dark by dive lines. In narrow sections, rescuers had to take off their air tanks and squeeze the boys and the tanks through.

Spathiphyllum has insight!
Remember during the Novichok poisoning she could see a 'clear breadcrumb trail' proving that it was not the Russians, when 5 European police forces plus MI5 , the CIA & the FBI all said it was the Russians!

We could talk all day about whether the mini sub could have been of use, it's certainly interesting.

This is more about the dreadful way Musk spoke about Vern Unsworth - have a Twiiter spat by all means but be very careful what you say in response.

The 30-strong team, which was integral to the planning, recommended that each child be confined in a flexible plastic cocoon, called a Sked, which is marketed as a rescue stretcher and is a standard part of the US Air Force team’s gear.

So why does he need to be rude to this chap?

Last week, as the rescue effort was under way, Mr Musk hit out at the Thai official in charge of the mission's command centre, Narongsak Osotthanakorn, after he said the mini-sub was "not practical with our mission", though it was "technologically sophisticated".

Mr Musk responded by saying Mr Osotthanakorn had been "described inaccurately as 'rescue chief'" and was "not the subject matter expert".
If Musk's huge ego means he can only respond to criticism by responding thus then he deserves no respect.

I'm out.
Lol

Maybe the diver could have used less ‘hard hitting’ language but I can understand the frustration of hard pressed experts when some ego-inflated self publicist almost literally sticks his oar in.
Musk has demeaned himself with his outrageous response
