Sorry if this appears twice but my computer had a 'happening'!
I've filled in most of the answers, but only have a few of the misheards. Husband is getting fed up with me reading the questions out loud to see if he or I can work out the words to change!
So I have no idea what to highlight, even though I have the unclued grid entries with letters from the crossing clues but can't work out what they are.
Is the title "Ivy" helpful ? (I thought of Ivy league Universities to no avail.)
Please could some kind person point me in the right direction.
Also I'm really stumped with 5 across: Luce one caught round South Africa blues treated with this? (6) ?RO?A?
Thanks in advance.

ZA- Zuid Afrika?...
The theme is a famous comedy sketch where requests for certain items are misinterpreted.
...the title sounds like IV.

Thank you all, I'll have a go at finding the items - I've found the obvious one!
Find three more of the same (singular) item Ripper - and look for symmetry.

Thank you professorMaisie

One and a half hours later, having read the sketch, I just can't find the other three items in the grid - Oh dear I'm feeling rather stupid.
Please could you give me another hint?
Thanks
Ripper, they're all close to each other. They don't all go in the same direction - so up, down, forwards...
Question Author
So not diagonal or wavy?
Ripper, no wavy ones - they each have a straight line, and they intersect in places...

Thanks Neveracrossword
Hello Ripper - I hope you've already found the 4 items but if not it's possibly because you're looking for different items, not 4 of the same item.
You clearly found 'the obvious one' some time ago, you need 3 more of the same (I should've been clearer, sorry).

Should one be plural? I think not!
ProfessorMaisie, because you'd mentioned 'three of the same (singular) item', I expected Ripper to be on the right track.

Thanks ProfessorMaisie & Neveracrossword - the heat must be getting to me!
My fault Ripper/Neveracrossword - I get so worried about my tendency to waffle on that I often edit the sense out of what I'm trying to say!
Professor..., I understood you perfectly, but as I'd already done this one I knew what was involved. Ripper, I know you're a regular Inquisitor solver, so I was trying to let you enjoy the satisfaction of finishing!
Yes Neveracrossword, hindsight is a also part of the problem. I'd forgotten how long it took me to find the items in the first place.
I followed all sorts of mad trails before I eventually spotted the symmetry (the setter managed to cram in loads of 'alternatives').
