The above digital camera is for sale on ebay... does anyone know what DSC stands for?? I have asked the seller but no response as yet.


All I can think of is 'discontinued' but I don't think this model is!

It stands for DIGITAL STILLS CAMERA. Many manufacturers use the prefix before the model number to distinguish their cameras from video camera's which are known as DVC i.e DIGITAL VIDEO CAMERA

got www.google.co.uk and do a search for DSC CAMERA and DVC CAMERA and you will see what I mean
