Thought you were going Goshawk hunting today?
Question Author
They're not there! :-(
Hi, Tilly.....the weather has given me a lazy Sunday....I'm knitting and watching the ice skating....

I used to think I could skate and play ice hockey....now I know I just wibbled around on the ice..... :-(
Question Author
That's ok as long as you stay upright, Gness.
How inconsiderate of them!
Question Author
I know, Ladybirder. :-(

I'll find them, eventually.
Most of mine done too, just have to do a bit of online shopping. I am currently picking superglue off my thumb and two fingers with my teeth. Strangely fun.

Don't swallow any. Your tonsils will stick together, Prudie!
Question Author
...that's a well known fact...

Gness, I took the jumper, that I've been knitting for four years, to one of my line dancing colleagues. She's going to finish it for me. :-)
Today we have started boxing up stuff for our move later in the year ..jeez the stuff you accumulate ...lots of trips to charity shops and the tip!
Question Author
Aww, Volty That's not relaxing but it will be lovely when it's all done. Good luck.
to and fro and back from the hossie, nothing conclusive found - 'contact the gastro doc in the morning'......
I could stay upright, Tilly......especially with the stick to balance me......it's the lifts and throws I regret I'll never do.....

Don't blame you, Tilly....is it just the putting together she is doing for you.....I dislike that part of knitting....x

Gness, I used to be in my college ladies and mixed hockey teams but that was proper Hockey, on grass. I've never tried ice hockey. Maybe if I'd lived in Canada, I would have done.

She's finishing off the sleeves and sewing it up. Nice lady. :-)

Didn't care much for hockey at school, Tilly....too much running about.....on ice my inability to stop on skates got me across the rink very quickly.....and often into the goal with the puck.....and I did love it........well five or six months of winter and you have to love the cold sports.... :-)
Question Author
You must have ended up in the goal as often as the puck! Don't you stop on skates by just falling over? I used to.

Those were the days, my friend. :-)

I can't run for toffee now.
Despite being shown many times how to stop with a T-plough or snow plough I either fell or grabbed the goal or a close by child......

I don't run well any more.....and I can't hop at all....can you?
Question Author
Yes, I can hop..and skip.
Skipping yes.....but I can no longer play hopscotch..... :-(
