Friend got a guy out to put an TV aerial on for her. He was charging £55 - any way she asked him "could you go a bit lower" - "well I could do it for you for £40 but it mightn't work". Did you ever.

Good answer that! :-)
I'd have done it for £20, and it definitely wouldn't work ;-)

LOL - Tony - very funny.

I do recall a guy in a Canadian pub offering me 20 dollars and I screamed what do you take me for - ok I'll give you 40.

Unknown to myself and friend we were drinking in a pick-up den. Never forget that.

It wasn't you Tony - was it LOL
No jj, but I do have cousins in Canada ;-)
Lol the higher you go the more it costs IMHA. Thats my opinion and how I quote and charge
When having an aerial fitted, Conne...you wait until the fitter is on the roof....remove his ladder and then negotiate the price..... ;-)
Gneiss love your sense of humour but I always have a footman at the bottom of my steps - he's my insurance policy
"could you go a bit lower"

I'd have said "No, it has to be on the roof."
A footman!!!...There's posh.....I have to make do with a big bag of sand.... :-(
Guess bags of sand aswell but sometimes some one might have to call 999
Never happened or needed but I like to be safe
999??..... Crikey......I don't think my workmen have done that yet.......though they've probably come quite close........ ;-)
Gness, I'd have rung for help
Oh come on, Oz.....wouldn't that have been a step too far?... ;-)
Guess if I fall of a roof (never happened and hopefully will not) I want an ambulance and paramedics to get to me ASAP
Tony....if ever you fall off my roof worry not.....I have a first aid box.....I'll sort you out....... ;-)
Guess will make sure I will fall in your garden then lol
Deal....just avoid the pond......haven't done the save a drowning man bit of the course yet.... ;-)
