Thanks, Captain. I 'get' flower but still puzzled about how 'watch' works. Also - a bit taken aback by the apparent censorship of the clue!

11 Across - 'Watch' works if you take off the first letter of a four-letter synonym for the first word in the clue, ('taking the top off') and then add 'ch' for chain. Hope this helps.
