All those Muslim ladies and not a Niqab in sight, but notice their non tolerance towards the other Miss World contest.

/// Meanwhile in Bali, the mainstream pageant was subject to protests by hard-line Muslims within the world's most populous Muslim country, even though organisers relented and agreed to cancel the bikini round. ///

/// Moreover, its final - held on 28 September - was due to take place in Jakarta, but it has now been agreed that the whole pageant will take place in Bali, a Hindu-majority island, where armed police are on high alert following warnings that the contest could be a target for terror attacks. ///

/// The British Embassy said that 'local Islamist vigilante groups have threatened to hold large-scale demonstrations to disrupt the Miss World pageant', adding 'extremist groups may also be planning to attack the
event'. ///

Ok - noted.

Is there a point you wish to raise?
And?
Question Author
Just read the thread and comment on what you read if you so wish or don't bother, it makes no difference to me.

I think others will find plenty of points to raise then perhaps it will start off a debate, for those who wish to debate.

Bye.
I'll hang on for that then - thank you.
What do you want to debate?

Oh very intelligent, always best to just follow the flock when you have nothing more constructive to contribute.

Bye, bye little lamb.
Don't be so childish, AOG, you haven't asked a question!!!!
/All those Muslim ladies and not a Niqab in sight/

Indeed

but the contestants ARE all dressed much more 'modestly' than the mainstream contest

being a 'child of the 60s' I find all these body hang-ups rather creepy

/// What do you want to debate? ///

Take your rose tinted glasses off, also your blinkers, engage your brain then I am sure you will come across something to debate on this subject.
/Bye, bye little lamb. /

that confirms it -

aog is definitely one of those guys in the bar :-)
Why are you being so rude?
what is your point

muslims have an alternative version of miss world where you cover yourself up
the other miss world carries on
people complain and protest about miss world

whats new?

i do find it amusing that the prize for the muslim one is a trip to mecca, that tickled me
Not sure if these women are brave or just stupid. They know the consequences if their male dominated leaders choose to protest. Just hope they don't decide to hold the competition in the UK, we have enough nut jobs roaming around.
^

/a trip to mecca/

It's Vegas without the gambling lol
Er.. what flock?

There is no debate or question to contribute to.

That is not a reflection of my intelligence.

You are being incredibly rude with no reason.

//Why are you being so rude?//
