You are correct emeritus- S was used to represent number 7 in Mediaeval times- probably short for septem

TROCHEE is a foot of two syllables , so I think TROCHII may well be its plural. Hope this helps.

Yes -composer= Bach , with a C in (a bit of curious (I think)) + ii (two in Roman numerals)
