6d Goffe - 'off' (away, in) 'Ge(orgia)'

OLYMPIAS was the name of the trireme (three banks of oars) that carried the Olympic flame in 2004. That makes 8D ?e?e?s. Several possible authors (PETERS, MEYERS, PELEUS). The one that fits most neatly, however, would be SEVERN (a pseudonym in "David Severn" and "Richard Severn") as well as part of the title SEVERN AFFAIR, by Gertrude Warden), which suggests OLYMPIAN for 15D. I guess that that is the response, although technically wrong by one letter. TLS has made similar mistakes before.
What about Saint Peter's Fair by Ellis Peters? Possibility?

Thanks all for the suggestions. 6d is clear cut, but the other two(clues) are odd.8d is the really odd one
Lie-in King, I thought that 6d was an error on the compiler's side. It should have been OFF in GA for Georgia and not GE which isn't the normal contraction for Georgia. Is 7d EUSTEBIAN?
7d EUSEBIAN
Sorry, EUSEBIAN.
Thanks for PETERS, frameshift. Now OLYMPIAS will work.
Thanks Lie-in-King, I guess that is the other Georgia?
