I just need confirmation as I don't understand the word play to:
23/22across Antigonus'plea for patience? (4,4,2)
I'm sure it's
"Bear with me", and I know he was killed by a bear!
also
12 across Ace dropping in perhaps for time at the weekend (8)
I've got Saturday but don't know if I'm right!
Any help greatly appreciated!

23/22 is "bear with me", just meaning there's a bear following (and about to kill) Antigonus

12A is "Saturday" = "A" for ace and "turd" for dropping inside "say" for perhaps

I'm sure 23/22across is right, but I have no more rationale than you. With regard to 12 across, think of "dropping" as turd. Not very pleasant, but
there it is!

I need help with 8 down. Goose feathers possibly, but why?
