Cris ........ do you have a combi boiler, or a system with a roof tank and an immersion cylinder?
When I've had that issue in the past the problem has been an air lock.
Agree with O G, could be an air lock.
This is going to sound daft, but it actually worked. We had an airlock and it was suggested to us to blow into the tap very hard..................trust me it worked (though I did get best beloved to do it, no way was I going to blow into a tap - and if any smart alecs find something rude to say .........woe betide them!)
LOL @ nungate. Another method is to get a piece of hose and connect it to the cold water tap and to the hot water tap, open the hot water tap and the cold water tap. The pressure from the cold water tap should then clear any air lock in the hot water system.

Thanks guys for all that advice I will try them. I have a combi boiler. I find it strange that it is only the main bathroom thats having problems. My husband took the barrell off again cleaned the inside and although it worked for a while it just stops again. Turn the tap and nothing.:(
