This evening I prepared a chicken salad for my dinner and I thought as it looked so good I'd treat myself to a glass of red. Yeeks - the bottle was not a screw top and I've never had to use a corkscrew to open a bottle before as there has always been 'a man that can'.

I've owned a Waiters Friend since the '70's so thought I'd give the corkscrew a try as the thought of asking neighbours for help was a step too far.

I did it - Yayyyyyyyyyyyy (and it was worth the effort and trauma!)

I like the waiter's friend, cos you get good leverage. You don't have to do all that straining thing.
