Can I please ask if 18a is bAnch or bEnch as Banch is a seat for judges in court, or am I on the wrong track here, it,s my last clue , please HELP!!!!!

It's bench that's the seat for judges in court. Never heard of banch.

Many thanks bookbinder, I had not heard of banch either, but there is such a word and it is a seat for judges in court, so was not sure which one was correct, but am very happy with your answer,XXXXXXXX

You're wrong - there is no such word as banch. You're mistaking it for banc.
I'm with qm on that one, can't find reference to BANCH anywhere, but willing to learn.
banch is not in my Chambers nor my OED.
Apologies, I found it here but may well be a foreign site, I agree with you re the correct answer however, having now seen the clue.
