Can't really justify these:- 17 down Finish joint, inhaling that which has gone round (8) DISSOLVE. 26 across support part of church that's rejected gospel (7) EVANGEL. 19 down Painter puts in call for tyres (7) RADIALS

loss = that which has gone reversed inside dive = joint

NAVE - part of church , + LEG - support
17d Dissolve (finish) - 'dive' (joint) (inhaling [containing]) 'loss' (has gone, round)
26a Evangel (gospel) - 'leg nave' (rejected = back)
19d RA-dials - R(oyal) A(cademician) + 'dials' (puts in call)
support = leg
