Tammy Troot was a radio Character in the 1950's
The rest of the clue translates as little friend with gold for the infants.
Does that help?
I can't interpret the dialect very well but if Tammy Troot is a fish, a small fish (or wean = child) is a tiddler.
Although pennies weren't gold, dd could be pre-decimal pennies?
