Hi. Hoping to come to London in June for a couple of days and was thinking of staying at the Days Hotel in Mill Hill.Would any of you know if its a long walk to the bus stop that would take us to the nearest tube station, please? Thankyou.

Whilst we are on the subject can anyone tell me of a reasonably priced hotel in London? My usual one has just put its' prices up by a lot. Do not want to pay more than 40 pounds really, and certainly above 50 pounds.

if it's the one located at London Gateway (Sctratchwood), then it's a long way to anywhere - the only realistic travel option if you don't want to drive is to take a taxi to Mill Hill or Hendon
Do you have a reason for chosing this location? Its rather a long way from anywhere.
Yes, I'm also a bit puzzled by your choice of hotel. There are Travelodges and Premier Inns in central London - why not choose one of those...?
Even Jack the Ripper never made it out there.....

it's at the M1 services, between J4 and J5, so you can't walk to anywhere!
Maybe you're driving from the north and want to leave your car there, but it is 3 miles from the train station. The advice on their website is to drive or get a taxi, so I imagine there is no bus route to the station.
Check with the hotel, but I'm sure that you have to pay extra to park your car at Days.
you can look out the window and see the overground trains, about 10 feet away.

if you want vaguely that area, there's a Premier Inn in Edgware, on the Edgware Road. Edgware tube station is a 10 minute walk from there.

sorry, that was too many Edgwares for one sentence.
hmmm... google seems to think there's a Railway Hotel in Station Rd, Edgware.. I can't picture it (I drove up there yesterday!). anyway, that's where the tube station is.

Thank you all for your replies about Days hotel .My husband and I travel by train to London to visit my sister who is in a nursing home in Cricklewood about six times a year.We have stayed in the travel lodges around kings cross but to be honest ,although the rooms are lovely and clean and a decent breakfast it was absolutely pandamoniam the last time we went.My husband cannot walk very far now so we thougt that we would make full use of the cheap tube tickets and old age pensioners bus passes. However, kings cross it will have to be!Once again, thankyou for all your replies,it never ceases to amaze me the kindness of people.
