I don't have stairs at home, but ...

When you walk up stairs, do you always start with the same foot?

I start with my right foot. If I deliberately, start with my left foot, I'm all off balance.

Yes- left for me
Right.
Up or down, I always start with my left. Even when I put shoes/boots on, it's always the left.
In my last house we has a 'half tread staircase to the loft, I was the only on (apart from one of the cats) who could use it easily as the first tread was a left hand one going up and down... everyone else really struggled
I hadn't thought about it really. I will do next time I go upt the stairs.
two at a time, right first ...

... more importantly "How do you put your Shoes and Socks on"

It's always left/left right/right for me - I've been know to take the whole lot off and start again if I've done it wrong - not superstitious, just not comfy :+()
I can't say I've ever noticed.
Blimey jj, just exactly how bored ARE you at the moment?!
I notice because I have a fear of stairs..

Left sock first, always.

No, right.

Oh ... not sure now.
Definitely right foot first.

A fear of stairs, ummmm?

Golly!
Ah, I understand. I'm just about to crawl from my pit, I'm in work for 12.30.
Have a safe and enjoyable trip.
not something ive ever noticed

I saw your "Six Nations" thread, Phil.

Hope you enjoy the weekend's climax (so to speak).
Yeah. I'm okay with 'most' house stairs. It's metal stairs, glass stairs, spiral stairs, stairs with no risers. Makes my heart beat fast and I get all nervous.

I think it stems from the amount of times I've fell down them...
Disappointed - I've been waiting for the "I live in a bungalow, so this thread is discriminating against me" comments to arrive ...
i cant stand those either ummmm.... i think mine stems from when i was pregnant with my eldest and the quickest way to get out of the building i worked in was down an old metal fire escape (no risers and it was twisty) we all used it instead of walking miles through the building to the entrance..... i had used it countless times but the minute i was pregnant for some reason it made me panic when i was on it.... ive been the same ever since
"I'm flying this afternoon. I'm killing time, I think, LOL."

This is not a dignified way for time to die...
