What makes a reverand have the 'Very Reverand' title? I've seen it used in newspaper articles and have never known what it meant!

Anglican bishops are addressed as the The Very Reverend.

Sorry, bishops are The Very Reverend, deans are Right Reverend and vicars are Reverend.
Archbishops are The Most Reverend.
