I asked a question a few weeks ago about the Origin and Meaning of refering to someone as Tilly Trot. A few people gave some helpful suggestions, but no definate answer. Since then I have noticed the name Fanny Anne being used in a similar way (as reference to a female they dislike.)

Can anyone help me with the origins/meanings of these two loathed ladies?

Thanks

in our family it's Fanny Fenackerpants referring to mischievious girls, no idea why though, sorry!
I know ' Sweet Fanny Anne' (or sweet FA) to be a polite term of saying F**k All.
