Has anyone heard the saying "It's a quiet sow that sucks the wash"?

Well, it makes obvious sense and it's surprising you needed to ask ! LOL. The OED says 'wash' is kitchen scraps and slops or brewery refuse, used as food for pigs [hence 'hogwash' ] A sow that sucks it, as opposed to gulping it down as most pigs would do, is plainly a very laid-back, quiet and contented sow !

(But I've never heard the expression either )
