You're only as good as your something?.....but the only word I can find which fits your pattern is "castrator" and that doesn't make sense.

Builder is right and given American spelling the last word could be favor.
I think the last word may be labor - american spelling
"You're only as good as your last razor" rings a faint bell, but if I am imagining that, it might be 'labor', which sounds asif it might have been the original of a whole lot of attempts at funny variations on the theme, or 'major' (at university), which sounds like another of the would-be funny variations!
