I'm doing the British 10K run tomorrow, here in London. I'm running on behalf of the British Red Cross. I'm a bit concerned, as I'm not as fit as I could be.

Does anyone think I'll die?

Have you got a heart monitor???

If so (or you are very good at timing your own heart beat, just don't go over 220 beats per minute minus your age and you will be fine.
No, I don't think you'll die. Good luck, let us know how you got on :o)
take an oxygen mask with u Velvetee :) nah im sure u will b fine!!! just enjoy it, just think u r doing it for a gd cause/awareness :) xx gd luck xxx
Walk if you can't run anymore, don't think anyone will mind, unless they do mind, then kill you as they mind so much, so yes, you might die in that scenario.
do you want to die tomorrow?
everyone dies tomorrow

My heartrate won't go beyond 155, as I'm planning a leisurely jog. I'm usually comfortable working at 95% of my MHR, just not accustomed to running outside, which is obviously a hell of alot harder than running on a treadmill. I have never run 10K before and think I'm still underestimating just how hard it will be.
Velvetee if you can work at 95%, you are a supreme athlete and will have nothing to worry about then.

I rarely go above 85% when jogging which is still way too fast really.
Na course not V but have you trained for it as If you have not then you are fruked.

I done a 10k road run a few years ago and I felt so good after running it the endorfins that you get from acheving that is un beleavablal I was so pumped up after doing that and if you do this then you will know how I fealt after that so you have to train for it as you just cannot do it without training

Well I only entered 2 weeks ago, as my friend wanted company. I've been doing moderate training for about a week and a half, which obviously isn't enough.

I'm actually crap at running, as I get shin splints, ankle and hip twinges, so have been doing a combination of walking and jogging. I've managed 6K so far.
Sorry to say this velv but you wont be able to do this as it does need a lot of serious training to do a 10k run but hell whatever its the thought that counts
