While the rest of us are strugging to make ends meet isn't it lovely to see those wasters, better known as a the Windsors, living it up.
Oh how hard it must be for them while they sit there sipping the champaign, having to view those gastly races and every other over dressed wannbe, invading their space, let alone having to even entertain thoughts of the rest of this country going to hell in hand basket.
This has not been a good day for me and looking at that didn't help.
Poor loves. one feels so sorry for them.

Personaly i think Prince Harry should organise a coo and replace our government with a new one that will not p1ss money up the wall left right and center. frankly i dont get how they think people will be able to live next year when all the new green bull$hit taxes come in especialy if inflation carries on the way its heading which if you ask me is going to be more like 10% than 5%.
There will always be people better off than ourselves so I really think there's no point being bitter about it.
Prince Harry couldn't organise a phonebook!

( would you need messenger pigeons to organise a coo do you think?)

Wait 'til Capt. "hug-a-husky" gets elected and starts his Green agenda - you'll be wishing you had Brown back!
I dont believe the lady in the photograph to which you provided the link is a member of the Royal Family, but in any case it makes no difference.

Many of the race goers attending Ascot this week are not Royals, aristocrats or millionaires but simply working people who choose to spend their cash enjoying themselves as they think fit. I happened to be at Fleet service area on the M3 yesterday mid morning and a number of coaches, minibuses and stretch limos were there with their passengers obviously bound for the races. They were not all hooray Henries or Sloanes, but just seemed like ordinary folk having a good day out.

There will always be privileged people in this country and, despite the Labour partys best efforts, some less than privileged but who have more cash than others. Thats life.

The cause of the current economic problems is not the money paid to support the Royal Family and the woes would not disappear if all of that support were withdrawn. The problems stem from financial mismanagement of the economy. This government, knowing that the economy varies in cycles, failed to retain any rainy day money from the good times, but instead chose to waste it for no benefit to the taxpayer. It now has now room to manoeuvre to help people out when the inevitable hard times come around.
Maybe if you stopped paying out for internet accesss, a television and it's licence, you would have some more money available to pay for these things you say you need to survive?

I wouldn't mind but it's not like they actually do anything really.
if they earned it fair enough but they don't.
I don't have a problem with people who have earned their money by working for it but they don't.
And don't give me they do work. Walking round some opening of an office block or shopping centre is not work.
Sitting at a large fancy dinner party is not work.
The royal family have no good reason to exist any more.
At least with a president you get to vote him/her out of office.
Daily cost to Ascot is 15! Open to all! You dont have to dress up but are required to wear a headdress.

Most of your bosses are there......without the boss would u have a job? Employers have a hard enuf time with constant Tribunals or 'dodging' staff on mobiles and computers (for own use) during working hours.

Give the boss a break!

Get off it New Judge.
I'm talking about the royal family and if u had taken the time to look at the other pictures in the other links on that page u would have seen them.
As I just stated those who have earned it can do what they want with it. They have a right to.
Money not going to them out of the tax payers coffers could be used else where.

as for you titchfeild your saying I have no right to any form of entertainment myself because I don't agree with the royal family. I have as much right as any one else.
I also have the right to make the point just as you do to make your statement but don't for one second think that gives you the right to tell me to stop doing the things that everyone else does. I don't drink, I don't smoke so I don't have much else.
I have had it up to here with people telling me what I should and shouldn't have just because I make a point concerning the royal family. I'm not the only person finding it hard these days.
I was making the point that in a world full of problems these people continue on their way with out a care for those that keep them there.
Don't tell me you never get annoyed. Don't tell me you never wonder why things are this way and what makes some one like Elizibeth Windsor thing she is more intitled to be where she is than any one else.

What was inflation at when dear old Maggy left New Judge?

9% in 1990 wasn't it?

Interest rates 15%

Just before we joined the ERM

Oh remind me where that ended

And you've got the cheek to talk about financial mis-management?

Well maybe those too young to remember a Tory Government might buy it

What about the children of millionaires? Should they be allowed to enter - after all, they haven't 'earned' it
tigerlily, whether you think I have the right to comment on your silly tirade, or not, is of no consequence.

Have fun spending your money!

Jake-the-peg. These are the official government figures for infation since 1975. You will see that when the Conservative party came into government in mid 1979 inflation was rampant:

With much pain it was brought under control and New Labour was handed an economy in brilliant shape. After 10 years they have managed to destroy it again, and

Sorry! I've made rather a mess of this, but I expect you get my drift.
So after 10 years of Tory Rule inflation was at 9% interest rates at 15 percent and we were in a recession

That was the fault of the out going Labour government was it KettleDrum?

I looked at the pictures on the link and only one out of seven showed members of the Royal family. I have sympathy for your financial situation but I think your venom would be better directed at the present government than at the royal family. It is they who are making the policies that affect you.

Remember, we send more money to the European Union every day than is given to the royal family in a year.

And that gives us even less benefits.
OK, so let's do away with the Queen, she will still be independently wealthy through inherited wealth but it really is not going to change anything for the better for the man in the street. Unless of course you are an advocate of communism.
