What is the OFFICIAL plural of mongoose? Is it correct to say mongeese, mongoose......or is it mongooses?

There is no 'official' plural to any word - just the perceived popular version, which in this case is mongooses. Language evolves constantly, in different ways in different places - use the word you like ,and that's fine - any wants a different version, that's fine too, anyone who wants to argue, needs to get out more.
