In case anyone's in doubt, the clocks go back tonight from 2am to 1am - except in the Isle of Wight (where they go back from 1952 to 1951), Norfolk (where they've yet to invent clocks) and Scotland (where Nicola Sturgeon won't be dictated to by the rest of the UK).

I live in Suffolk. The rivalry between Norfolk and Suffolk is intense but I have occasionally managed to get a visa to find out what life is like in that weird county to the north of us. Getting to Hunstanton from here involves a lengthy queue at Thetford passport control but I can, indeed, confirm that it faces west and also that it's the only town on the east coast to do so. (The neighbouring coastal village of Heacham also does though).
In the same county you can watch the sun rise over the sea from Great Yarmouth

and then watch it set over the sea from Hunstanton:

Thanks, Dave. I had to zoom out on the Google map to see your point though!

Sunrise from Embo

and sunset from Portmahomack

- and they're only 8 miles apart!

^^^ There can't be many places in the UK where you can look out to sea to view the sunrise and then go just a few miles away to watch the sun setting over the sea, can there?

Done, simple most things are automatic except Watch, Microwave and central heating timer.
Sony and Pure take care of the important stuff so I can concentrate on Chivas Regal. :-)
I'm having to adjust the way that I look at internet radio schedules (because they're all in GMT). I've spent months automatically adding an hour onto the times shown on websites but now I've got to remember not to!
my granddad just came in with his tackle out and a tin of cherry blossom I think he misheard
Yes, Johnny. Hearing difficulties are common in old age:

What a patronising post, surely we all know whats going on.
I hardly ever know what's going on, Baldric ;-)

Fair play Mate,
at least you seem to be the only one on here who gets your badges updated, can't be all bad.
GGGRRR just means I am awake an hour earlier !
After a long sleep I was thinking about getting up around 6 but bladder had other ideas. Can't believe I'm sat here staring at my laptop at this unearthly hour.
