Channel 4 Intro Music

Channel 4 intro music, when they are announcing what is coming on next and you gradually see the '4' come together. Are you with me still?

Ok, there are obviously different versions but what is the music in the New York City Style one where the camera is moving backwards and is being followed by a yellow cab?

Really cool, NY hip-hop beat with Jazz piano. Help me or I'll pop and make a mess.

Best bet is emailing ch4 about the music

My sister did this last year after she heard some music she liked that was used on 1 of the ch4 ad's last Christmas.

They emailed her back with the answer.It's worth a try

I fear you won't have much luck tracking it down as it's almost certainly composed specially for Channel 4. If you want a clean copy of the music, I'd recommend taping Channel 4 overnight as they often don't have announcements in the early hours of the morning.

NZA - I am pretty sure it is by David Holmes and was already a question on here a week or so ago. I have had a quick look back and cant see it although it could be under Music or Adverts i suppose. I also was under the impression that most incidental music that CH4 use is not composed especially for them but is available Licensed Music as oppossed to Sky who often will have stuff written especially for them? Thats what i heard but it could be rubbish! Good luck with your search.
