I could. I doubt the kids could though.
no
can you get pink floyd cd's that work on the old 78rpm :)
I could.
No.
yes.
I could. The kids couldn't..It's scary and god help us if the washer breaks or the hoover, they wouldn't think of hand washing or brushing
Well, if I did that I would not be able to get a job, and I would die of AB withdrawal symptoms. Is that a recognised medical condition?
No, because we need the fridge, freezer, heating, water, oven, lights etc.
Question Author
I don't mean those sort of electronics - I mean things like tv, computer, all these fancy wiis, gameboys, playstations, whatever they're all called.

The things that seem to have took the place of conversation, reading and physical activity.
no at all, take away my pc, phone, tv and i'll cry. i love reading but i need noise and communcation devices, otherwise its just me murph and a book (the book i don't mind)
I need noise as well.
Probably without most of the stuff as don't own TV or games consoles anyway. Doubt I'd last without Zappy though (my laptop).
Probably not. I need my PC to do my shopping.
No!!! I could manage with just my PC though as I rarely watch TV.
a lot of conversation is based on TV and games etc, as we all know, a lot of conversation takes place on computers. I'll live for 3 months without on the condition the three months are in a city of my choice! I'll take Barcelona please!
oh well that would change things, tucked away on a (luxury) deset island with paul walker for company, i'd give the lot up :-)

i think
I was having a similar conversation this morning with a woman my age about all the appliances and gadgets our kids just could not live without. when I was little we didn't have a fridge, TV, hoover or washer but we managed. I know it's different now and I wouldn't like to be without technology and all the convenience but I think I could get by
No TV for 3 months? - No Corrie, No Emmerdale, No Eastenders - sounds quite attractive until we get to 3 months without footie, rugby, aussie bashing highlights. So on reflection - NO
No as I do my shopping and all my banking online. I could do without the TV as long as my local library doesn't close in the cutbacks.
