Why do some people have to wait till they're dictated by a calender date? It'snot as if the old year stops and then we have a new year it just another day but the calender says it's a new year, if you're muslim,mayan or one of the hundreds of thousands of others that have a different calender you'd see it's not the new year at all. But in the spirit of christmas and goodwill I will play along and tell you that next year I plan to drop my religion stop eating so healthy and worrying about death, Im gonna smoke more drink and party more and to bed more women stop wasting my time at gyms and generally live like a hedonistic couch potato care and worry free and If I die and go to hell then so be it, I bloody tried!

Never made one. Hence, never broken one. If you're going to do something (or not), I can't see the point of waiting. If you don't do it when you decide to do it, you're stalling for an excuse to renege on your own deal. IMO
