I'm still abit unsure it's the best idea as Trish is a complete head case , always racing about and not sleeping at night, but I've decided to bring the second one home now whilst Trish is settling in to avoid any upset for her later on,.

grr arranged!
Perhaps when this new kitty arrives Trish might 'settle' down.
Dotty Dotty Dotty and you knocked my spelling. lol. I'm sure you're doing the right thing with Trisha. What are you call the newbie?
Question Author
i hope so, she's taken to sitting on the top of the headboard in the middle of the night , that is abit unnnerving, I should lock her downstairs maybe!
Question Author
well she is called Lucy apparently, but has only had the name 12 days! This one was found freezing in a field, sometimes i wonder whether stray cats are always strays, my mum used to say cats always find their way home unless a human stops them. Anyway, still weighing up the name.
lmao - another cat will not calm Trisha down. YOu will have double trouble. It took approximately 4 years for ASBO to calm down to a vaguely manageable level.

But best of luck Dot, I hope you enjoy your new fur baby. And good on you for getting a rescue cat.
She's up there so she can survey her domain/human....lol
Society may be right...Trish may just need another cat to burn off her energy with. Good luck and well done.
I sometimes wish I could get another cat....*sigh*
So do I pasta, so do I.
She was left in a field as trash? Then how about Trash? Trish and Trash lol

ooo trish trash polka! wow that was my dad's nickname for my sister, i was buffbonce O'hara, (lol I know)
I don't suppose it matters much whether you get your second kittie now or later - they are probably going to hate each other anyway. May as well get it over and done with - all the hissing, spitting and howling.

I hope they both settle in and become friends - my two are brother and sister from the same litter. They are very different in character - and I don't think that they actually like each other very much - but I love both of them very much.
just go for it......and let them sort themselves out.....just hoover up the bits of fur now and again...
I actually asked my vet how to tell if they my morons were fighting or playing. She said that lots of blood meant fighting and no blood 'might' mean playing. Who know?

I am both excited and nervous for you. ;-)
I want to get another cat. OH thinks Brian is too spoilt and would not welcome one.

He and next doors cat play together. We have a connecting outhouse/conservatory and they can get from house to house through it. I often find them asleep in my sons bedroom together.
ummmm - Brian sounds cute. I knew someone who's cat sat waiting after he had had his breakfast for his friend to turn up, and the two of them toddled off out to do cat stuff. They came home to use the toilet and away out again and, sometimes, went home for lunch.

Complicated animals.
Here he is :-)
He is quite fluffy, Frankie in my avatar is very smooth coated but his sister looks like a fizzy ball of hair with two huge, vacant eyes.
He's very fluffy...He seems to get fluffier the older he gets. He's about 18 months old now. Very spoilt though....
If you want a second sooner rather than later....and a she might be accepted more easily.....
