No, the new employer cannot use your old CRB check
And if you have more than 1 job, you will need a sperate CRB check for both jobs
However, with the introduction of the ISA, your checks could be a lot quicker - instant in fact - very soon
although not really the answer to this question!
it will depend on the company, the nature of the work and the nature of the "offence" that comes up on the CRB
I'm wondering who or what is Beverley John Gallant (see Question title)?
As bednobs says it depends on whether they do a CRB check and what they are interested in.
Isn't Beverley a girl's name???
If the new employment is the result of a takeover, under the TUPE regulations the original contract would be as if made with the new employer, and therefore probably would not be subject to a CRB check.

If it is resulting from a change of employers, i.e. having resigned in order to change jobs, then obviously it would be up to the new employer if they should chose to do a CRB check and base their decision on the results.
whoops, completely mis read the question - want some more of what I was taking last night =D
