I need to buy vinyl flooring which comes in a 4m length my hall is 240cm x 240 cm (it's not its an irregular L shape but this is easiest - although I suppose cheaper to actually work out - I don't mind having a join) All the measurements are in cm

I can't follow your numbers and hieroglyphics I'm afraid.
If it comes in 4 metre lengths then there will be quite a bit of waste.
Can you not just price it for 2.4 m x 4m?

LOL yes my doodle went haywire and i've just realised i'm being more blonde than normal! Yes I can of course just do that - I think I was making it into this huge equation rather than the obvious lol! Thank you!
