ummm... Apollyon, maybe?
Possibly, jno... but more likely "Hopeful" at the bank of the river crossing, of which Christian ("The Pilgrim") became terrified. "... But Hopeful answered, "Be of good cheer, my brother: I feel the bottom, and it is good."

And with that Christian broke out with a loud voice, "Oh, I see him again; and he tells me, "When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee." After which, Bunyan's text says "... Then they both took courage, and the enemy was, after that, as still as a stone..."
yes, that does sound more likely, Clanad.

Happy new year, if you're still around reading this.
... and to you jno!

May peace break into your home and may thieves come to steal your debts.
May the pockets of your jeans become a magnet for $100 bills (or the U.K. equivalent)
May love stick to your face like Vaseline and may laughter assault your lips!
May happiness slap you across the face and may your tears be those of joy
May the problems you had, forget your home address!
In simple words ...
May 2010 be the best year of your life!!!
I've seen that greeting before Clanad, it's wonderful. Seasons greetings and best wishes to you and yours for 2010
Thanks, alba! No it's not original, but still whimsically pertinent, no? I'd hope they will apply to you as well... and your qwertish keyboard! You've already experienced the entry of 2010, whereas we still have seven hours (western U.S.)... All the best...
