Why do women see shopping as a form of 'therapy' or stress relief?  If anything, I find it very stressfull indeed.  Especially at this time of year!

Not all women.  I start kicking people when they don't move and get very vexed which amuses my fella greatly.  I don't kick them full force or owt, I mean the back of their heels and stuff, I barge people and 'shoulder' them.  I hate shopping.

That makes me sound like an animal I don't intentionally go out to assault people, I just keep on moving when they stop dead right in front of me in the middle of the path.  The only exception I have is old ladies and gentlemen, I don't kick them.

Maybe you are the cause of my stress...!
Hmmmm...... quite possible.......
I used to really enjoy it but I am getting to really dis like it especially at this time of year and I agree with natalie I just want to push people out of the way when they just stop right in front off you with a trolley and they are oblivious to everything around them, I also find at this time of year a lot of shops take on temp staff for the xmas rush who are usually quite rude and unhelpful,(not meaning to offend any sales assistants as I used to be one but this is my experiance)so hence this year am avoiding it until last minute
Some sat it is the human heritige. Women are gatherers and men are hunters. So women feel more at ease with shopping then men. UGGH we hunt. Focus on one thing at get it. Women walk around and look for pretty things. I acctualy read that some store for the xmas shopping has not only room where you can dump your children but also your man. A TV with re-runs of great football matches and some playstations, car-magazines and beer
i am female and i hate shopping i find it very stressfull with everyone dawdling around,,i now make a plan before i go of where i want to visit and as soon as its done i get a taxi home,,all food shopping is now done online,,also i hate trying clothes on in shops so most of the time i buy a size larger and hope for the best...i think some people find it therapy spending money it gives them a buzz,,,gypsy
Yeah bee,A shopping centre near me used to have such a room its not there anymore though,I dont get the point of men who go shopping and then find the nearest tv to watch football why go in the first place! do they have horrible wives and girlfriends that make them go?
But these 'stoppers' - you know who you are - don't stop in a sensible place, perhaps the side of the path, an empty door way, a bus stop, a bench area, no.  They stop bang in front of you on a heaving street while you are carrying the heaviest bags in the world and you cannot move around them because every time you go to step to the side so do they.  You expect Jeremy Beadle to leap out in hysterics because you are about to commit murder to some fart ar$ed pillock who can' tell his ar$e from his elbow prancing in front of you.  It doesn't help when you live in such a crappy place to shop like Oxford either.

There is a primordial buzz from buying stuff, pretty stuff, fluffy stuff (as opposed to the everyday groceries etc.) and clothes. I think some women ascend to a truly orgasmic state when shopping with someone else's money! You can see them at Gucci and Versace (or more down to earth Marks & Spensers?) with their eyes spinning round like cash registers! Wow!!

OK, so men do it as well. We go for that widget waggler at the tool store or the latest electronic fidget monitor with additional Global Satellite Posing Potential. Ho hum ...

OK, so why do women expect you to get as excited as they are about some red boots?  You say, yeah they're fine, but you are meant to say that 'oh they look fabulous, you just have to have them, you'll die if you don't get them now.  What?  You havenb't got enough money on you?  OK I'll lend you the money for now'

Doh!

I hate shopping. I usually ring the shop to check they have what I want in store, then go straight there, buy it and come straight home.  I, too,  cannot understand why some women go shopping as a form of therapy!

I absolutely hate shopping.  Now buy food on line and just shop for perishables locally.  As for clothes I go out with a firm idea of what I want and, of course, it doesn't exist and I get frustrated very quickly and come home with nothing.  Certainly not therapeutic!

I also hate people in crowded shopping centres with umbrellas up, especially when it's hardly raining.  It happened yesterday, and being tall, I was constantly being jabbed in the face.

I hate shopping!

Stress relieve is something else...

I only enjoy it when i get the things i need and what i was looking for is there, for intance, my bloke and his mate went Xmas shopping for the family and all he got was a bubble bath, and was stressing that he hated it and he couldnt get a thing!  And then when i went with him last night, i made him get a frame and candles for his cousin and a wine hamper for his nan, and a shoe kit for his grandad - and he was like "oh its so uch better shopping with you"!  as it was more organised!  you need to be an ordganised shopper then its all ok!

Love Lauren xxxx
