It's only a beginning, but I for one, am glad to see it happen. Is it a suitable time to leave, or premature?

Obviously, the terrorists are all defeated, there is stability in the region, they have embraced democracy, muslim fundamentalism has been thwarted, oil supplies are secured and our mission has been successfully accomplished. So perfect time to leave
There is no good time. Whether the withdrawl is tomorrow, 2010, 2015, won't make any difference to the outcome, which will be the customary internal strife and slaughter. People in the Middle East just seem to like killing each other. Let them get on with it.
It's a bit of a double-edged sword for the poor squaddies who'll be off now to Afghanistan quicker than you can say:

"Is that Lord Lucan in that cave or Osama bin Laden?"
I say lets pull them out of Afghanistan too - leave them to their own problems. Either that or throw ALL our resources into it. Over then in about 3 months
We were conned into the war in the first place, so our withdrawal is well overdue.
We should never have been there in the first place - so yes it is long overdue

A lot of middle eastern countries are the same as a lot of African countries namely they aint happy unless there is a war on and they can butcher each other for no good reason.
What's black and glows in the dark?
I think it's a bit premature. Ross Kemp was due to visit, will miss his heroics.

They have suffered enough.
They should have left before now but as it was decided to invade (illegally in my view) without plans for a new infrastructure there was no option but to stay, thus prolonging the misery for the Iraqi people, making new enemies for ourselves and losing the lives of many in the armed services.
A few weeks ago when more service men were dying because of the lack of some equipment, our former PM purchased a wave machine for his swimming pool for 30,000 or so...rant,rant,rant.
Thanks Julnar for giving me that opportunity!;-)
Stating the obvious why has no one come to this conclusion. 'We don't enter a country to fight the terrorists' It's only once we are ensconced there that the terrorists follow us in'. The insurgents in Iraq have not been killed off they have just moved to Afghanistan. They like to pick a battle! The moral, get out!!
