I also had a miscarriage at about 7 weeks. I bled for about 10 days. The breast tenderness took about 4 weeks to go. Physically it doesn't take that long to get back to normal. Mentally it took me a lot longer. I don't think you really ever get over a miscarriage.
its a bit weird really. saw dr on sunday when started bleeding they did a urine hcg test and it was neg. so said i was miscarrying. have been bleeding since but weirdly symptoms seem to be getting stronger again so i did another test and a blink and you miss it line came up. am waiting on blood test results to confirm diminishing hcg levels. was only 5 weeks along. i bled at this stage in my last pregnancy and i now have a beautiful healthy daughter. this could all be wishful thinking and it most likely is but would appreciate everyones thought....
It's strange poohshunny, although I went on to have another beautiful baby daughter after the micarriage, I often wondered what the baby would have been & what it would have looked like......
I do that too smudge! I have an 11 year old son. He was my first pregnancy. Since having him, I suffered a miscarriage at 9 weeks, an ectopic pregnancy 5 months later, then another miscarriage at 7 weeks just over a year ago. I had my left tube removed with the ectopic. Hubby and I are still trying for another though. What will be will be.
thanx guys. I have accepted that it's most likely a miscarriage and am in no way getting any hopes up. can only pray that in the future everything works out better. for all of us xxxxxxx
I'm really sorry to hear what you've been through poohshunny. It must have been a very difficult time for you, especially having to have one of your tubes removed too.
Some years back, one of my friends had to have an ovary removed, but went on to have three beautiful children, so there's always hope....
I wish you, your husband & son the very best of luck.
my son's GF lost her baby last weekend at some point, she went to the hospital for a scan on monday morning after bleeding heavily all weekend, the diagnosis was 'complete miscarriage' which apparently meant there was nothing left to need any treatment. It was a shock, but she seems to be coping well, my son is a little subdued though.
I did post on your other thread Dot, but glad your son's girlfriend is coping okay. I'm sure your son will soon come round to what's happened. Good luck to them both.
thanks for that smudge, we should not have been so kean to tell people so early, we told my grandson straight away that he would be having a baby sister or brother, but we have not seen him yet to explain what has happened, he only comes friday to monday and we couldn't see him last weekend cos she was unwell. : ( not looking forward to having to tell the lad.
Ah, that's sad Dot. Your Grandson will probably be a little upset at first, but I'm sure he'll soon come to terms with it.
I remember when our eldest daughter had a miscarriage, then having to tell her little girl that it wasn't to be, although she was a bit too young to understand. She then went on to have another little girl who was born on the eldest one's 3rd birthday. What a lovey present - a little sister!
