To get rid of spam (or, at least, to reduce it), I suggested Mailwasher. You can't stop people sending unwanted emails to your mail box on your ISP's (or other e-mail provider's) server but you can prevent most of them from being forwarded to your inbox. (That's what Mailwasher seeks to do).
As an additional way of reducing spam, I suggested using multiple e-mail accounts, possibly using Gawab. For example, you could call yourself
[email protected] on your website but
[email protected] on Myspace. If you wanted an address where AB members could contact you, you could be
[email protected]. For personal emails, from your friends, you could be
[email protected], while you could use
[email protected] for internet purchases. Then, if one of those accounts starts getting flooded with spam, you can just abandon that address (and create another one) without having to change your contact details for other purposes.
