Over the past couple of weeks my kitchen sink is giving off a very bad egg smell whenever the washing machine empties.
We have put bleach down over night and the smell seems to go for a wile but now everytime the washing machine is emptying the eggy smell is present

Hypelink not working:(
Take the trap off under the sink, its probably full of gunge. Wash it out and replace, should solve the problem.
If it only smells when the washing machine is being used,it could be that the filter of the machine needs cleaning.

try this one instead!! (very similar) A lot of the suggestions i came across pointed to hydrogen sulfide??
As dilligaf says it will be the trap others wise known as the u bend....
I had the same problem as this, and it took ages to work out what was wrong.

Does the smell get worse if you use the machine after a couple of day of non use

The plumbing on my washing machine connects to the pipe under the sink, but the water was not draining properly and was going back into the machine and then stagnating. I had a plumber fit a non return valve and it works fine.
try soda crystals or mr muscle sink unblocker, just follow the directions on the packet. always sorts out any unpleasant smells from our sinks or basins.
I had the same problem and it turned out, the pipe under the sink had got a leak, it had been leaking in the cupbord and as the water had been standing it had began to give off a bad smell. I replaced the pipe and cleaned the cupbord and the smell vanished.
I had a similar problem and when I mentioned it to a washing machine engineer he said that it was often caused by bacteria building up when machines are often used on cool washes. He recommended occasionally using the machine on a hot wash which I now do and this mostly seemed to have resolved my problem. Plus an occasional good helping of bleach down the sink, although I don't like to pollute the water by doing this too often.
