The first puppy we are fostering came to visit today. What a delight that was.😃 It took about forty minutes for him to settle down in his new bed, having made his way around every nook and cranny of the downstairs rooms. I had forgotten how much like a whirling dervish a fourteen week old puppy is. He is adorable.

He sounds like a bundle of fun !

Is he a guide dog?

I'm sure he'll settle very quickly, Tilly. What sort of dog is he?

My brother did dog fostering, I've no idea how you can then let them go, it must be heartbreaking.

He's a canine partners dog, a labrador. He will be trained to go on to work with people with physical disabilities.

Prudie, hopefully, there will be another dog to replace the one that has to leave. (Fingers crossed)

When I was fostering we had 4 fails who are still with us out of about 75. We had mums and babies, singles and siblings. They all became child and cat friendly and the one we kept from the first litter became an excellent dog role model

What a lovely thing to do, I wish you every success and hope he goes on to make someone's life much easier.

Thank you, Lankeeler.

Calmck, you fostered 75 dogs?

Yes over a ten year period

Question Author

Gosh! Well done.👍

Any chance of a picture Tilly or is that not allowed?

Question Author

I'm not to sure LB. I need to look at the social media guidelines. If I can, I will.

My idea of heaven Tilly.

Awwh what a lovely thing to do.
I have only fostered one it was a complete failure as I kept her lol

He's only going to be with us for two weeks whilst his puppy parents go on holiday. I think we can manage that.

I don't want another dog of my own. I can't want to go through any more grief. I shall do my best to ensure that he doesn't fail.

Thank you Tilly.
