It will be added to your account this month. Your monthly payment won't change unless your supplier recalculates it or you stop it or alter it yourself.

Ttt. What will be added. The full amount of 400
Were we all supposed to get something in the post or email from our suppliers informing us of the £66 payment towards bills? My manager and other colleague said they were informed by I haven't received anything.

I am so confused. If 400 goes to my energy provider then it makes sense that I don't pay for few months
Check with your supplier..many of the suppliers will pay direct into your bank and leave your dd as it is.
The money doesn't get added in one go, it's paid into the electricity account over several months
The amount will be paid in around £60 lumps over the next 4 months. In my case (SSE) they will deduct this from any standing order or DD that I pay my bill with. I guess that is the same for most consumers. Not everybody will get this , though the exceptions are even more difficult to understand. Your supplier will have a website, so I suggest you take a look at that using your account number.
It's a credit of £67 for 2 months and £66 for 4 months from what I've read. Don't forget that your cost will be going up from today...they'll get you at some point.
Everyone is getting it Blackstoun.
You'll pay the difference, so £4 a month for six months. You might get more though with having oil heating. Have a word with your suppliers.

Yes, you are so right oh great freaky one
I should have said how you get it depends how you pay, e.g. pre paid meters etc don’t get it the same way
Btw I paid over £600 for 500 litres of heating oil the other day. Scary, and the £400 does not help with that!
Octopus Energy has already emailed me with the details..six more-or-less equal amounts to be credited over the next six months, reducing your DD by that amount ie £66 to £67.
SSE have informed me that if you pay by monthly Direct Debit then after it has cleared you will have £66 refunded. If you pay by quarterly bill then the payments will be credited to your bill.
I haven't heard anything from Bulb or Octopus who take over Bulb.
**took over

Thanks for letting me know. The last letter I have from sse didnt say that exactly , but the post being as haphazard as it it these days , maybe I am one letter overdue
I have a pay as you go meter and it will be credited each month.
So the goverment is giving these people our money for us and it’s our money anyway through taxes is that so ?
The help for folk in Ulster won't begin until November but it'll be backdated to to-day.

Pasta has it spot on, nobody is getting a £400 lump sum paid in to their account. The money will be paid directly to the energy supplier over six months
