morning, Monday and the start of the working week for some, I hope that you are in good health, and that your day is a good one, do you have anything planned for today?
I have nothing in the calendar as such, though i would like to get out for some fresh air, but the forecast is miserable, a high of 16c, which is decidedly cool with rain showers.

Good morning emmie. Hope you are keeping well. I haven’t slept much, that’s why I am on here so early. I agree, it’s really cold, I wish the weather would improve. I was in London last week visiting my son, and I really enjoyed myself. Back home now

I really enjoyed riding around on the buses and seeing places I have never been to. I used my bus pass

i am ok, though I could also do with some more sleep, but will see how the day goes.

Everything is bought on cards now isn’t it? I am not too keen on that, but things change all the time

that's great and what the bus passes are for, there is so much to see, and do here, i used to walk a lot around the place but the current knee problem doesn't permit me to do that, perhaps when it's fixed i can get back to riding the buses and walking to and fro.

i know what you mean, one local place we sometimes go to for a coffee/drink, only takes cards, and others are the same, its time we got back to normal, and be able to use cash. They won't do that on the bus/tube, as its more convenient to use a card i guess.

I am the same emmie, knee problems. I found the stairs in the underground difficult, but also found that some people gave up their seats for me on the train. My son was with me there, as I would have got lost

you are early this morning Minty, can't sleep, the rain hasn't arrived here yet, but it's forecast for the rest of the week.

Bobbie, people do that sometimes, though there have been times when i have stood all the way on the bus to the West End, but i haven't done that for more than six months or more.

I am up by 4.30am every day emmie..get the housework done etc before coming on AB..

crikey Minty, that's early, I don't do housework as such until i get off AB, and that's only to do one or two chores, like make the bed.

it's a throw back to when I was caring for FIL with Alzheimers..had to be up very early to get all his laundry done etc before I got him up !

my neighbours do anti social cleaning, like hoovering at midnight or sometime after, can't understand it at all. It reverberates around the block, and i have often been woken up by them.

don't put hoover on 'till after 9am ! or washing machine

I find that i am waking up at 2 or so, then i doze for a time, and on here early because i can't get back to sleep.

I usually wake around 3.45am and just get up..can never get back to sleep if I am properly awake

i have been known to put the washing on around 7am, that is if i have an appointment, and need to be out of the house early, but it doesn't matter what time after usually.
