Tilly I've cracked it, bought my foil Christmas paper from studio and in it there's a mini cutter, a bit like a tiny Stanley knife and as long as you use a suitable surface ( I have an old wooden table I brought in from the shed) it makes a perfect straight line ,so no scissors,got a good sellotape dispenser that's doesn't budge

Yes I like the foil stuff ,got Santa's on it on a silver background, not sure if it's recyclable tho:(
