It appears the hand jel manufacturers are having a ball, the greed for money is growing quicker than the virus, lots of shelves empty and a big hike in the price. Money the root of all evil! The funny thing is it appears that this jel won't kill the virus, because most are for bacterial infections, not virus, and the supplies in most shops are made in China. :0)

If it worked then where it came from wouldn't be such a big deal. It wouldn't survive contact anyway.

Meanwhile rising prices to distribute a product is a common reaction to high demand.

Have you got a link where it says that alcohol based rubs are ineffective against the virus? Would be interested to read it.
No one is absolutely sure - if at home, then soap and water - whilst out and about a good alcohol based sanitiser is a fair alternative.

It's not better than soap and water but is considered better than nothing when not able to wash hands (so says WHO, IATA etc) Just wondering where it states that alcohol based rubs only work on bacteria.
