Can you get gender specific beer?
Gender neutral dolls have been around for decades.

mozz, it's a pun, i just think society is being goaded into very murky grounds, it reminds me of a startrek episode where the whole planet
was androgynous, i think it was a voyager episode.
Mozz71 //Can you get gender specific beer//

Yes. Manns Stout

i stand corrected it was, The Outcast (Star Trek: The Next Generation)
I think all my dolls in the 50s and earlier were gender neutral, not that I thought about it. All my teddies, etc, then and now, are gender neutral. ;o)
Question Author
retrocop, yea i used to mix that gold label barlywine, back in the day
or was it pale ale, black n tan.
I think Black and Tan was Guiness and Brown . I used to enjoy Brown and Mild. Never asked for a Black and Tan in a Irish pub though. :-)
Question Author
retrocop, like i said it's a been a while, i just remember on my travels
up and down the uk, going to different ale houses, and sampling the local ales, wonderful days..
Re the OP, isn’t providing two different hairstyles and types of clothing for the doll even more ‘gender biased’?
Is a female xylophone a xxlophone?
About time. If girls wanted to dress how Barbie used to dress they'd think they were going to a ball every night.

Retro - why wouldn't you ask for a Black and Tan in an Irish pub?
//to 'meet demand from children'//

Yes of course they demanded Gender Neutral Dolls. Lol
No, they don't, but they want realistic toys.
ummmm
Black and Tans are a hated orgnisation who were ruthless when putting down Irish rebels. They wore Khaki uniforms and black berets. Hence 'Black and Tan'
Try getting the film, 'The Wind that Shook the Barley'. You will see them in action on the populace and they didn't use half measures.
I'm Irish, I know what a Black & Tan is.
Legacy[edit]

Due to the ferocity of the Tans' behaviour in Ireland and the numerous war crimes they committed, feelings continue to run high regarding their actions. The term can still stir bad reactions because of their remembered brutality.[22] One of the best known Irish Republican songs is Dominic Behan's "Come out Ye Black and Tans". The Irish War of Independence is sometimes referred to as the "Tan War" or "Black-and-Tan War." This term was preferred by those who fought on the anti-Treaty side in the Irish Civil War and is still used by Republicans today. The "Cogadh na Saoirse" (“War of Independence”) medal, awarded since 1941 by the Irish government to IRA veterans of the War of Independence, bears a ribbon with two vertical stripes in black and tan.[23][24
