More irrelevant drivel ( not you trt, the silly butcher)
Agreed, mikey. Tripe may be a better term
My butcher has always sold meat in imperial measures. Come to think of it, I ask the deli lady at Tesco for half a pound of cheese, and that's what I get.
In fact, it was the Conservative government that said goods should be sold in metric weights in 1994. It came in to force in 2000 and is nothing to do with the EU.

My trousers and shirts are still measured in inches, and babies weighed in pounds and ounces
I expect that this butcher will start pricing his wares in groats next !

Lol at 12:38 FF !
Very good butcher actually. There are quite a lot of older people who frequent the butcher`s in town - the younger ones tend to go to the supermarket for their meat. My Mum`s generation always asked for their meat in imperial measures so I don`t see the problem.
What a lot of mince!
Bring back Dad's Army, the world has moved on. Philistines.....
They have brought back Dad's Army! I watched the new film last week :D
My butcher has always sold both - his signs have both written on them - I also always ask for a couple of pound of mince - no issues!
I'm going to break out a methuselah in celebration.....hic
I`ll pass on your good wishes to them when I next see them DT
hc...was the film any good ?

I will watch it when it comes on the Telly, as I have a phobia about sitting with lots of other people, listening to them masticating in the dark !
I watched it on my tv, I too think the cinema is a very weird thing to do.
I was dreading it, expecting the worst, but was very pleasantly surprised. Absolutely fantastic cast and much, much better than the usual standard of 'sitcom' films.
What channel was it on hc ?
I watched it on Amazon Prime on my tv, I have a one month's free trial
That's ok provided he shows the metric price too
Thanks hc....I guess I will just have to wait then !
It's never changed in my world.
What's the best way I can safely store a bushel of oats?
