Well they must have changed the rules then, because I always thought you received £25 winnings............. plus return of your stake...... making £35
£25 is the answer. 5/2 means you win £5 for every £2 you put on. 5 x £2 is £10 ,so you win 5 x £5 =£25

You're right Paddy. I just took the meaning of "as well as your stake" to be the total received.
£25 plus your stake of £10
Strictly none are true if there was a rule 4 deduction if it was a horse racing bet!
