since yesterday my urine has been greeny yellow. I'm not in any pain, not had any antibiotics or such so I've sort of ruled out any things I've read. Should i hand in a sample or see my GP? I was on a Saline drip in the hospital but I doubt it's that.

I need new glasses. I thought your uncle had gone greeny yellow.

I can't give you advice QOM, but could it be something you drank or tablets if you are taking any? I know they can sometimes discolour urine.
anything to do with the diabetes? I've been really dehydrated for the last few days even though I'm drinking plenty of water. My mouth feels all 'furry' if that makes sense!

Would be worth taking a sample in though.

good afternoon queenie, i trust you are getting your strength back

if there is no discomfort, then it is most likely caused by a medicine or something you have eaten or drunk - however, there would be no harm in seeing your GP anyway for confirmation, just for your own peace of mind
No big deal...I agree with the dietary posts plus the fact that despite the IV drips you might still be dehydrated and concentrating your urine.
Monitor the situation for the next week.

I haven't drank anything other than milk, water and some diet coke butterbun. The tablets I'm on I've been on for some time so I'm not sure it's those either. But thank you :)
How are your sugars Booldawg? If you are experiencing furry mouth I'd say your sugars are too high? My diabetes is a bit up and down just now but that's to be expected as I've not been well. I'm just blooming terrified of having a hypo :(
I did yes Prudie, thank you. I didn't think it would be serious, but I just found it rather strange.
Thank you Danny I will have a look :)
Afternoon Excel, I am getting there, I felt more like me earlier as I was a tad grumpy. I'm just taking it easy as I am planning on having a stab at making meatloaf for tea. If it continues for another 24 hours I'll give them a call, chances are they won't have any appointments though.

Thank you Sqad. I've been eating and drinking normally (more drinking as my sugars are up) but I'll try that and see how it goes :)
Why don't you just hand a sample in anyway....don't need an appointment for that....doubt they will refuse to take it especially as you've been so unwell.

Or maybe you could get a telephone consultation ?

I've always thought brownish urine was a bad sign for diabetics rather than greenish....but this may be an old wives' tale....

I'd need to go up for a tube Lady Alex, I'll see how things go over a few days if it persists I will hand one in etc. I've not heard that one before. They don't tend to be too fussed about the colour unless it's dark then they tell you your not drinking enough, or they go on about ketones or the odour of ketones.
Do you mean a sample bottle?
Wouldn't they take any container?
They used to.
Maybe things have changed.....old memories of pregnancy clinics with women with jam jars are flooding back....so to speak.....
Question Author
I think they like it in a white topped bottle, I don't even have any suitable containers plus anything I do have I'd have to be careful as not to cross contaminate.

Hmmm have you been on the Crème de Menthe ? If you swirl it do you see curtains clinging to the side of the glass ? Does it have a good nose ? A wicked flavour ?
Eating asparagus?
Hi Queenie, don't take this the wrong way, but has anyone put Bloo in the cistern?
