There was much talk last week about all the energy companies going out of business because an elected government might force them to freeze their prices for a few months. So any price increases they announce now should be greeted with a certain amount of scepticism.
These energy companies are little short of leeches, bleeding the British public dry, in order to make huge profits. If Labour had any balls, they would have a policy in place to take basic amenities back into public ownership, just like has been done with Railtrack. I am convinced that it would be popular, just like their plan to freeze prices is being seen. Labour has leapt ahead in the Polls since last week.
