I have just been for a walk down our lane and have noticed that the cow parsley is in flower again, now correct me if I am wrong but it is normally springtime when the cow parsley is out. I have lived in the countryside all of my life but I have never noticed this before + the house martins left three weeks earlier than last year and a lot of my shrubs have already dropped their leaves and we havn't had a frost yet so what is going on. It will be interesting to watch for any weather abnormalities in the coming weeks. Anyone else spotted something unusual with the nature around you? It would be interesting to see if there is a pattern emerging.

Interesting ZM. I will check on mine in the garden.
There are different types of 'cow parsley' one flowers early and the other later in the year, there is nothing special about this.
My primulas are flowering again.
Last week my daughter splatted what she thought was a large insect on the kitchen floor. It was in fact a baby frog.
I remember thinking why are there baby frogs around in September?
Well it's not warming here much. Still quite chilly.

I wish I could find where I left my glasses.
My clematis is flowering again.
My cherry tree on the roof terrace has got loads of buds on it again.
And that illustrates the difference between Hove and Brighton.

LB's terrace has a budding cherry tree. Mine has an old gas barbecue.

I suddenly feel a bit low rent.
LOL. Oh well, each to their own JJ:-;

Chablis in them?
Use a cup. X
Maybe Sancerre, rather than Chablis. Its more refreshing.
Hello :)

It is like Jack Hargreaves meets Percy Thrower today.

I am trying to remember the name of the much missed contributor to the Sunday Express letter page, who lived at South Villa, Thirsk. This old gentleman would regularly write in with a seasonal forecast based on a previous pattern of weather. The gent was so correct. I miss him :(
I think it was William Foggit

Amazing, just typing the Q brought the answer to mind :)
My Virburnum tinus is fully out, which is about 6 weeks earlier than normal.

Moony Foggit now there's a name.
My buddlea bush in the last few days has been full of butterflies (huge ones) and bees despite the weather being cooler and not much sun. Been out to look at it earlier and there is a beautiful red admiral on it despite it being cloudy and overcast today. I hardly had any on it in the summer !
